About Psychotherapy-in-London
I offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore any concerns or problems you have, from immediate crisis to depression, anxiety, stress, work and relationship problems, and also just plain unhappiness or wanting to get more from life.
I believe that if you can take this first step, then you surely have the resources within yourself to change and to find your way out of the difficulty and into a better place. My role is to be there with you, calmly and sensitively listening and exploring anything you wish to look at.
With almost 20 years experience in helping people with their emotional and life struggles, I feel I can offer a depth and breath of ability to relate and make sense of the issues that arise for you. I work collaboratively so the pace is always set by you, you can choose what you want to work on, and have sessions in a way that works for you.
I provide short and longer term therapy and counselling, one-to-one, couples, or group therapy. I also offer ad-hoc sessions, telephone or Skype.
I am happy to talk with you, in confidence, about your requirements and concerns, before starting.
My practice is located in a very quiet street, 5 minutes walk from both St. John’s Wood (Jubilee) and Maida Vale (Bakerloo) tube stations - just a few stops from central London. Parking nearby.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I hold a First Degree in Psychology, Certificate in Counselling, Post-graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Diploma in Supervision (of psychotherapists).
I have trained at Regent’s College School of Psychotherapy, The Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education and The Tavistock Centre, all in London. I continue to pursue my professional development through seminars, lectures, workshops, studygroups, supervision and other forms of professional and self development.
My work experience includes a number of years working in psychiatric hospitals and residential mental health with The Richmnd Fellowship, 5 years as a GP surgery counsellor and various other placements. I have worked with children, families, couples, individuals, groups, short and long term, private, public and voluntary.
Particular interests include working with dreams. I have studied Eastern philosophies and yoga, and am currently training to become a Qi Gong instructor. Further Information
I do occasionally have a few concessionary slots available, at the lower rate of £50, for a time-limited period.
