About Imagine Counselling
Imagine Counselling is based in Marple and close to Marple Bridge, Romiley, New Mills, Glossop, High Peak and South Manchester. The service provides psychotherapy and counselling to individuals and couples.Our counsellors are trained to support you and help you find your internal resources. The healing relationship offered by counselling and psychotherapy can lead to self-acceptance and increase your resilience and effectiveness. Counselling and psychotherapy can help people make profound changes in their lives and relationships. This happens through a greater understanding of ourselves and why we think, feel and behave in certain ways. That understanding enables us to accept ourselves and make changes with the guidance of a safe and supportive counsellor.
Imagine Counselling uses a variety of approaches from Transactional Analysis, body psychotherapy, gestalt, eco therapy and mindfulness.
My training, work experience and any achievement
Mary Dees BSc MSc Dip Counselling, MBACP RegisteredI am Mary Dees and I have been trained to help you through your troubles and to support you to make changes in your life.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with BACP, my main modality is Transactional Analysis but I also borrow from other techniques such as body psychotherapy, gestalt, mindfulness and others. I am a member of the UKATA and BACP and abide by their code of ethics and professional practice. A requirement of BACP and UKATA is that I have regular supervision and that I have myself been in therapy. This is for your safety and improves my effectiveness.
I will work with you to an agreed timescale or on an open-ended basis depending on what you want. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a confidential and non-judgmental environment.
Qualifications
• Registered Member MBACP (Certificate of Proficiency)
• 4 year post graduate training in Transactional Analysis leading to Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy
• Certificate in Transactional Analysis (TA 101)
• Certificate in Introduction to Gestalt Psychotherapy
