About Potters Bar Counselling
I am a BACP Accredited counsellor/psychotherapist offering psychodynamic counselling/psychotherapy face to face to teenagers and adults over 17 years of age. I work with all those issues which challenge our quality of life and relationships. Therapy is usually on a once weekly basis and is tailored to the very individual needs of each person who seeks my support. We can work short term with a previously agreed number of sessions, or deeper working can be achieved with open ended work of no fixed term. This is all part of our agreement arrived at during an initial assessment of your needs. Whatever issue you are seeking support with, the relationship between counsellor and client forms a vital part of the work in which we can address, understand and learn to change or mourn and accept the unchangeable or life’s losses which can never be recovered.A totally confidential, empathic and non-judgemental therapy provides a unique opportunity to share all those thoughts and feelings it is impossible to share with family and friends.
I provide therapy to students of counselling and psychology as a requirement of their training, and am a personal tutor to counselling students. I can provide counselling and psychotherapy on behalf of medical insurers and employee assistance programmes.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I trained with the Herts & Beds Pastoral Foundation, the major provider of charitable counselling in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Establishing a thriving private practice is a natural progression from my broad experience counselling in the voluntary sector and on behalf of the National Health Service.My Qualifications -
