About SallyTS Counselling and Nutritional Therapy
I specialise in helping my clients gain greater clarity and happiness in relationships. I also help people manage overwhelming feelings, such as anxiety, low-self esteem or just feeling down and not sure why or what to do about it. I work with individuals and couples.
Whatever you feel you are struggling with I will listen compassionately to your story so that you feel heard and understood. I offer you a calm yet robust presence that allows you to explore your thoughts and feelings safely. Many of our problems may be rooted in how we relate to ourselves and other people. Often when we feel ’stuck’ anxious or depressed we are limiting ourselves in some way, ’beating up on ourselves’ or not treating ourselves with the loving care we deserve. As a therapist I can help you look at yourself and your dilemmas from different angles which can feel both a relief and very liberating. I offer you a collaborative relationship in which you can explore whatever is troubling you so that together we can uncover and illuminate what it is you are longing for.
As well as being a qualified and experienced Counsellor/Psychotherapist I am also a Nutritionist and skincare specialist. I offer counselling sessions, nutritional consultations and bespoke restorative facials. I am passionate about all aspects of health and beauty and believe that we may become unwell or low in spirits when we give out more than we get back, have lost touch with our true nature or travelled too far from our life’s purpose. Counselling and Psychotherapy can help us to re-discover who we are, improve our self-esteem and establish what is really important for us to experience in our lives. It can help us to re-connect with what our soul longs for and thus experience greater peace and joy. Similarly learning to really nourish ourselves with good quality food is vital to our mental, physical and emotional well-being.
My aim is to help my clients achieve optimum well-being. In counselling this may mean looking at yourself in the context of your relationships and your work. In Nutritional Therapy the focus is on how you nourish your body and mind and make time for exercise and relaxation.
I have over 20 years experience in the beauty business including 11 years running my own health and beauty centre. My knowledge of nutrition and self-care helps me work intuitively, effectively and compassionately with individuals suffering from a wide range of issues such as low energy, work related stress, depression, anxiety and addictions particularly those related to food such as Anorexia and Bulimia.
Couple Counselling
Relationships - how to find one, how to sustain one happily and how to leave one when it no longer serves you and your partner is a particular interest of mine. As a qualified couples counsellor I help couples and individuals navigate the ups and downs of relationship, so it can be viewed as a pathway for continued intimacy, passion and love. I believe that many of the challenges we face in life can be viewed as opportunities for growth and transformation if we find the courage, confidence and compassion to change and move towards what brings us joy.
I also run regular therapy groups and creative workshops.
I am a registered member of BACP and abide by their ethical guidelines.

What brings one to therapy?
You may be experiencing anxiety, depression or low-self esteem unable to decide how best to live your life and or feeling isolated or alone? May be you are trying to cope with the mental and physical effects of trauma: - a recent loss, illness or bereavement or a life changing transition such as a divorce. Maybe you are struggling to cope alone with an addiction or eating disorder? Perhaps you feel stuck in a rut at work or increasingly stressed by your job which is now taking its toll on your health and or family. Or perhaps you long for an intimate loving relationship and would like help in manifesting one. Maybe you are unhappy in your current relationship and would like to explore with your partner how you can affect positive change in its dynamic?
How can therapy help you?
Therapy can help by giving you the time and space to explore your thoughts and feelings and develop a more compassionate attitude to what you are struggling with. It offers a safe supportive space to tell your story and have it witnessed by a therapist who listens, does not judge you and assists your self-exploration. I work with you as an individual which means that my approach will be guided by your personality, your needs and what brings you to therapy. As an integrative transpersonal therapist I am interested in helping you discover more about your ’gifts’ and uniqueness and our work together may at times draw upon your creative and intuitive capacities aided by dreams, visualisations and work with the body.
Short-term or longer term therapy
You may require short-term therapy to focus on a specific problem in your life or a traumatic event such as a bereavement, illness, divorce or job loss. You may seek longer term open ended therapy to allow yourself the space and time to explore yourself and your relationships more deeply. Ultimately we work creatively together to provide meaningful solutions to what you are struggling with in life.
