About Anna Jezuita
I am an experienced, BACP accredited counsellor providing a range of services in Streatham, South West London and nationally via Skype. I take the time to understand my clients’ needs, and can help to address a range of issues, from improving self-confidence to repairing relationships.
Counselling
I believe that everybody is an expert in their own experience. As your counsellor I will help you find a deeper understanding of that experience and new ways of dealing with it. I use Person Centred approach, and CBT based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy - as well as my own life experience as a professional, partner, parent, and colleague.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I trained as an integrative counsellor at the University of East London and qualified in 2003.
I subscribe to BACP code of Ethical Practice regarding client confidentiality and data protection.
I am a qualified Mindfulness Trainer.
My approach is integrative, meaning it includes several theoretical approaches which in my view suit best my values and my views on human nature and development.
As I have personal experience of living with addictions, divorce, changing countries and professions – not belonging - I approach people from a position of somebody who is also still struggling with life and has compassion to client’s problems, rather than an expert with a ready made solution. Individual counselling
Most people do not listen with the intent to understand - they listen with the intent to reply.
Counselling is a specific type of a human relationship where the counsellor’s only purpose is to listen with sole intent to understand you, and to help you understand yourself.
Mindfulness training
Mindfulness practice helps with stress reduction as well as with managing chronic pain, depression, addiction, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD) and some other mental health conditions
In the process of mindfulness training I will introduce you to simple exercises and routines that will help you to transform your life.
Relationship Reconciliation
I can help you improve any important relationship in your life.
It can be your child or sibling, life partner or business partner, colleague or friend.
