About Chris Payne
I have practiced professionally for twenty years.
I am influenced profoundly by Thomas Moore, the American writer, and I believe everyone’s life is a soulful work of art that is being created day by day. We all need to be heard when telling our stories. In my experience, the most difficult things to effect us - redundancy, break-up, addiction or illness - also hold the most potential
The recession is affecting everybody, so I work for a basic £50 fee, but am willing to negotiate higher or lower depending on your income, length of contract and time of day that we meet.

I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients - gender, race, orientation, income, age etc, and am trained to deal with whatever issue(s) you bring.
I have particular experience with anxiety, depression/melancholy, relationships, sexuality and work-related problems.
Trained in Psychosynthesis, which offers good ideas on potential, I have become more psychodynamic (Kleinian) in the last decade. I find this approach more useful in looking at shadowy parts of us which cause damage to ourselves and others. I appreciate the contribution CBT skills can add to the mix.
I have clinical supervision twice monthly with Lennox Thomas
