I am an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor Psychotherapist working within both Private Practice and the NHS. My clients include adult individuals who wish to work on: depression, low mood, anxiety, stress, low self esteem, lack of confidence, bereavement, and other personal loss. In addition, I also support those who wish to work on personal development, or create more fulfilment and happiness in their lives.
In addition to my Counselling and Psychotherapy private practice, I also work as a Counsellor for the Guys and St Thomas Hospital Trust. I have worked as a Hospice Counsellor and for a Counselling Agency.
I work within an Integrated Model of Counselling & Psychotherapy (Clarkson Model) and have post graduate training in Attachment Based Psychotherapy, CBT and, Mindfulness.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) -
I work within the Ethical Framework for Good Practice and am committed to providing a confidential and professional counselling and psychotherapy service.

My training, work experience and any achievement
My experience includes working with adults with variety of issues and difficulties such as: depression, anxiety, low self esteem, loss of confidence, expressing and managing feelings, stress, and adapting to change. I am also experienced in supporting people with bereavement and loss; supporting carers and counselling parents who are caring for children with chronic health difficulties.
I have a particular interest in “Attachment Theory” which helps us understand ourselves, and our behaviours and experiences in relationships. I work to help my client gain self awareness, acceptance and to build self compassion.
In addition to my Counselling and Psychotherapy experience, I have a back ground of cancer and palliative care nursing.

The approach I use is the Clarkson relational model which integrates three key schools of counselling psychotherapy theory: Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Transpersonal. I also have post graduate training in Attachment based psychotherapy, mindfulness, CBT, EMDR, energy psychotherapy and EFT
I work with adults, and provide a confidential environment, where issues and problems such as: stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties can be explored. Sessions can help you explore your inner resources, create new perspectives, insights and understanding of yourself, your relationships and the challenges you are facing. In addition our sessions can offer you scope for personal acceptance, adaption or change and can help you gain a better sense of control in your life.
