About Pam Greenup
My role is to use my experience and training to find the best approach to help you find some relief, bring about change, have a better sense of well being. We all have some idea of what a perfect life is like and are aware that living life is very different. Problems come in many forms such as health with depression, anxiety, physical illness. At other times it centres on relationships with partners, parents, children. Sometimes the focus is work with bullying, stress, change of job. No two situations are the same as a variety of factors make them unique to us.

If you meet with me the first appointment is an opportunity for you to decide if you would want to work with me and to discuss not only the problem but the approach you would prefer. Some people like a structured approach such as CBT, others like a more relaxed style and to talk freely. This is about what is best for you and what will work. What is important is that I hope to provide not only a space to talk but one where you are heard too.
You may want to come on your own or as a couple.
Children and teenagers can really benefit from counselling. Sometimes a very few sessions can help restore calm and harmony. Small issues can often feel as though they are overwhelming and getting out of hand. They do tend to respond very well to counselling.
My training, work experience and any achievement
								                                EXPERIENCE
After qualifying I was employed for three years with a leading Welsh agency specialising in work around sexual abuse and rape. My role was to work with children, teenagers and their families as a counsellor and advocate. In 2011 feeling that I was now experienced enough I began my own independent practice. I now have several thousands of hours experience counselling over a wide spectrum of issues.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I worked as a teacher in secondary schools for thirty five years. My interest in counselling began when I volunteered with Samaritans for a number of years.
