About Steve Crowley Acupuncture & Massage
I am an experienced acupuncturist and massage therapist. I specialize in treating people in pain, with serious health problems or fertility issues. If you are in pain or suffering from health problems or fertility issues I can help you now!In Asia, acupuncture and massage have been used for thousands of years to treat a wide variety of health conditions. The World Health Organization has proven that acupuncture is affective at treating over 60 serious medical conditions including problems with pain, digestion, breathing, circulation, eyes, ears, nose and throat, hormones, menstruation, urination, fertility, skin conditions, and much more.
Acupuncture is safe and suitable for all age groups from babies to OAP’s. How many treatments you’ll need is dependent on your symptoms, however most people experience a change in their symptoms within six treatments.
I use massage when muscles become tense and knotted, lose their flexibility and are causing pain. Where appropriate I integrate hot stones into my massage. Hot stones are one of the most effective and successful ways to treat musculo-skeletal pain. The stones are used to apply slow, deep pressure strokes and compression movements. The warmth from the stones melts away muscular tension allowing the tissue to relax more deeply. This enables more effective deep tissue work, resulting in a more effective recovery from pain or injury.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I’ve been working in the health and healing industry since 2003, I have a BSc in Acupuncture for which I received a 1st class degree with honors. I also have a diploma in Therapeutic Massage for which I received a distinction. I am also trained in hot stones massage, shiatsu, tui na (Chinese massage) and structural fascial bodywork. Combining these different styles of massage enhances the effectiveness of your treatment, and where appropriate, combining them with acupuncture can have a greater therapeutic affect.I am constantly researching new innervation in acupuncture and massage, and attending post graduate courses and workshops, so that I continue to improve my ability to help my patient on their journey away from pain and ill health, and towards a better, healthier, happy life.
