About Physioroute

Physioroute is a Private Physiotherapy Clinic providing a service to both professional athletes, and the general public. "Physioroute" works with many leading health insurance companies including BUPA and AXA.
The main base for the clinic is in Brecon Powys, but we also have a satellite clinic in South Wales, and if appropriate udertake domicillary visits.
The clinic treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including acute, traumatic,occupational, or sport related conditions, chronic pain conditions, and post surgery rehabilitation.
A significant proportion of our clients suffer occupational health problems, this often requires specific ergonomic attention, whilst others suffer sport or leisure related injuries.
As a privately run clinic, we highly value a close releationship with all other professionals concerned with our clients, including referring Insurance Companies, Consultants, and General Practitioners, to ensure the most efficient symptom management.

My training, work experience and any achievement

Prior to achieving her Physiotherapy degree in 2001 Catrin qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist gaining accreditation with the Sports Massage Association in 1998.

Aside from working closely with National, and International athletes, in varying disciplines, she has more than 10 years experience working for the NHS. Utilising this level of experience, Catrin successfully treats a variety of individuals including:

Athletics
Catrin is the Clinical Lead for Rehabilitation at Cardiff AAC, and has worked closely with the club for the last 11 years. In this time Catrin has traveled with the senior squads at national levels, as well as being the medical support for the Welsh Athletics Association at many National and International matches.

Football
Catrin has also had the opportunity to work with the Womens’ Welsh football squad at their pre World Cup training camps.

Since 2006 Catrin has been the Squad Physiotherapist for Builth Wells Rugby Club,
