The Choice of Travel and its Transformational Power

Why it is worthwhile to travel, and how to make the most if it.

Travel provides an incredible opportunity for transformation and growth. Its potential depends on the choice we make and if we allow it.

How many times have you heard someone saying: "Travel changed my life"?
Does your experience reflect this? Or does the famous phrase resonate with you? "In distant travels you get to know yourself".

Small brick v vision

When we are away we can realise what is really important to us.
Seeing things in perspective allows us to make different, more empowered and inspired choices.

Awareness of habits

While in different environment, we become aware of our habits.
The great thing is that we become aware of these habits so that we can then take conscious steps to do something about them.

Travel choice

Where? Who with? What for?

The way we choose travel can tell us much about ourselves.

The factors of where and how we are choosing can pre define the experience of travel?

How do we make the most of our travel choices and what are the indicators which prompt us to make the ones we do?

Do we remember the inner explorer in us or do we travel to another comfort zone?

Do you travel where you have always longed for, or is it a random location?

Is the destination your choice or do you travel where others want to go?

Do you happen to be clear about where you want to visit or do you just go along?

Do you travel be yourself and are very comfortable with such a way, or do you only travel in groups and organised tours?

Do you remember the destinations you have never been to but deeply desire?
Is the decision based on those factors, or ’best deals’ and compromises to the location?

Travel provides an opportunity to experience yourself differently.

Different sets of circumstances and scenery will provide different opportunities for that.

The purpose depends on what we are seeking. Do we travel to rest or to excite?

What is the Purpose of our travel?

Do we travel to discover?
Do we travel to rejuvenate?
Do we travel to get away from everything?

Do we travel to run away?
Do we travel for inspiration?

In travel you experience yourself differently. You learn about yourself and gain a new perspective. We grow through travel. We become richer in a direct experience of life and authentic knowledge about the places we visit, the people we encounter, and the things we acknowledge. The benefits are long term.

Nature

Travel to nature locations is especially nourishing and rejuvenating for our senses, and all over our well-being. Time in nature gives an opportunity to connect with the sense of freedom and expansion.

Private Time

Do we stay safe and spend our time together with travel companion, or do we allow ourselves "private" time?  As much as it can be a great joy to be in discovering new companions, there is much power in having the "you time". A simple walk can be truly transforming together with flourishing new insights and inspirations.

Appreciation

When in a distant location we can look from a different perspective at our life, home and work. Seeing it from a distance opens a portal for much appreciation.

Planning
It is well worthwhile to plan our travel in accordance with our preferences and look for the holiday your travel choice provides. In our busy lives we may not have the time to pay too much attention to detail before travelling. Are you planning your travel meticulously or do you allow for spontaneity?

The place you fall in love with

Do you have a place that you never get bored with and fall in love more and more each time you visit?
For me this happened to be Egypt. Having travelled to many worldwide destinations, I went there with no expectations but it brought me a big surprise. I would have never thought that going there would result in discovering a great passion which was to change my life beyond anything I could have expected. The change did not occur straight away. It was going back again and again and being drawn to discover something greater for myself but not knowing what that would be. I followed my inner feelings and instincts, and journeys of a period of as little as a couple of years has resulted in great discoveries, connections and opportunities.

I have learnt a great deal about myself and went through many beautiful processes of transformation and expanded inner Awareness. It was there that for the first time in my life I was away for a month with just one suitcase. I was finding myself supremely happy and content in newly found freedom from any previous possessions and habits.

What has pulled me most to go back again and again was the Peace,
I was able to connect with Balance, Harmony and Expansion deeply and profoundly.
Each time I went there I discovered new things about myself, including the Ancient connections and gaining expanded Awareness about the Purpose of my journeys. After a while a new desire transpired; one to share it with others. This is how the Ancient Passion Awakening came to creation. In March 2015 the first Alchemical Journey to Egypt has taken place and an incredible transformation happened.

I have followed on a solo quest and adventure and travelled to the most remote Egyptian oasis Siwa. I have spent 7 weeks this year there getting to know the Oasis and can say it is a wonderful, beautiful and unique place with magical opportunity for transformation. I believe that a journey to Siwa has truly transformational power to anyone who makes it there. I can personally relate to the wisdom and power described in Paolo Coelho’s “The Alchemist”. As Paulo Coelho wrote, “wherever your heart is, that is where you’ll find your treasure”. I found mine in Siwa. I hope that you take on a similar opportunity and find your treasure.
