Mangos are deliciously irresistible. They go well with salads, ice creams, desserts, pastries and so on. But aside from the delicious taste, mangos are full of health benefits too!

Furthermore, mangos are also ideal for those who have problems managing their blood pressure as it has significant amount of potassium whilst being low in sodium. Plus, the high levels of fibre, pectin and vitamin C help to lower serum cholesterol levels, specifically low-density Lipoprotein or the bad stuff.

Eating mangos nourishes your brain too. This tasty fruit contains vitamin B-6 and glutamine acid which helps to improve neurotransmitter function, so the brain remains healthy while also benefiting from improved memory and concentration.

CANCER PREVENTION

Research has shown antioxidant compounds in mangos have been found to protect against colon, prostate and breast cancer, and leukaemia. These compounds include quercetin (those found in apples), isoquercitrin, astragalin, fisetin, gallic acid and methylgallat, as well as the abundant enzymes.
